EXAMS ARE OVER! GLEE!

The Concepts in Literary Study exam was the worst I’ve ever taken bar none, but at least it’s over. And I went with the Lesbifriends (I know, we have a pun problem) to the Creative Writing Society Open Mic Night (catchy name) last night. It was awesome. Especially since my friend Violet read some of her poetry and did it brilliantly. They were so funny and effective; I’m still thinking about them now. She’s putting together a collection and it will be brilliant, if the poems we heard are any indication.

*grins* I love writer friends. She’s gonna be published soon, I’m sure. Although the poems are more effective read out – maybe she’s the next Taylor Mali? Only, you know, a girl.

Speaking of poetry... it’s Limerick Day! (Thank goodness, because unlike Violet I can't do freeverse.) So here we go.

The American public’s been getting hateful,
Over maggots and rat hairs – a plateful!
But the FDA’s tricky,
They say it’s just icky,
So suck up your flies and be grateful!

*smirks* Sorry, guys. I just read an article about all the stuff that can go into food before it’s considered contaminated in the US. To make up for this, have something porny.

Will do! Fuchsia is now closer to you than us because she ABANDONED US. She's going home today, we had excellent funtimes hanging out in Sarah's room last night. We were going to watch films and walk round the lake. We talked instead and I got to lie on a bed in a PILE OF LADIES.

And LOL. I know they were originally called 'open mic nights'. I guess they decided that wasn't catchy enough.
