1. Why do you dislike #11 so much?
I don’t dislike it exactly, but it has no emotional continuity. Jack shot Ianto’s girlfriend (I know she was a Cyber(wo)man but still) and he was screaming he’d kill Jack one day, and then randomly they’re having sex? I thought it was a dark hatesex thing, only now they seem rather committed. And it keeps being ‘Jack is all casual but sekritly likes Ianto a lot; Ianto is needy’. Is Ianto needy because he’s got no one else? How and when did he come to have these feelings? It seems like the writers are trying to leave things open to interpretation, and I’m just left cold.
2. Who is someone you know that ships #13?
trepkos. Her Riley/Spike series is awesome on many levels, and has converted me.
3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
Sirius runs to James’ place, and he’s all fragile but pretending to be tough: boyish grin and shadowed eyes. And James, being emotionally constipated but a decent guy, deals with his best friend by cheering him up and taking him out into the sun. They have this incredibly boyish, sweaty summer, and then incredibly boyish, sweaty sex. Sirius gets a letter from his mother; the owl comes when James is in the loo, and he comes back to find Sirius sitting on his bed with a tense jaw and his knuckles white around a slowly-crunching bit of parchment. He feels all the wind leave him, and then he sits by Sirius and Sirius turns to look at him. James feels winded by his expression, and he needs to make Sirius relax. Sirius is so tense and brittle and ready to explode or worse, fall apart, because he won’t explode in James’ house, around James’ parents. That operatic Black temperament is all wrong for this nice middle-class surbuban home. James sits next to him on the bed, and Sirius looks at him with haunted eyes. Sirius' jaw is tight, and his mouth is making uncertain shapes, and James kisses it.
4. Which is your favorite episode/scene for #1? Try to pick just one.
The fire in the Room of Requirement, predictably enough. It would have been a much better ending for the H/D arc than that slapstick moment of them saving Draco then punching him. I like Draco saving Goyle (although Crabbe’s death really upsets me) and the fact that the first time Harry reaches for Draco, he can’t hold on. Ooh symbolism!
5. How long have you been following couple #6?
Since before John appeared, actually. There was a lot of squee about James Marsters kissing a boy, and then it turned out he and Jack used to be friends and were companions in the sky and now they hate each other, and the trailer showing walk-kiss-fight. Which is sooo my thing.
6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop liking them/caring?
I like Draco too much to stick him with a Hermione who never learns why her ruthlessness is not okay. I think reading a particular kinkfic that made my brain boil in my skull also affected it. But ultimately my limited reading time has to go on my favourites – pairing Draco with Harry, Ron, Snape, even Luna – rather than stuff I’m more “meh” about.
7. Which ship do you prefer - #2 or #4?
Um. I love Angel/Spike for their history, their intensity, how different they are. I love Faith/Buffy for similar reasons. I prefer Faith/Buffy though, I think.
8. You have the power to make one ship non-existent. Choose from #10 or #12.
Um. That seems a little OTT. But probably Hermione/Pansy. If that happens, Pansy has more time for sex with Bellatrix, Luna, Ginny, Daphne, Gabrielle, Millicent... etc. Or even Ron, Draco, Lucius or Snape.
9. What interests you about #14?
They’re both beautiful, or were so; they’re both powerful, and they’re devoted to Harry and Voldemort respectively. The idea of lieutenants from opposite sides of a war choosing each other over their callous generals appeals to me. I like Bellatrix seducing Ginny to her side even better: Bellatrix liking this young pureblood firebrand, and seeing herself there. (And wanting sexytimes.) Ginny’s underestimated and protected, and I bet she’d love to have the sort of mystique Bellatrix does. Ginny has a dark side: she’s violent and loses her temper often, and I could see these two beautiful, crazy females grinning away and Crucioing the poor bastards in their way and loving it. Ginny’s also pretty callous, often; I think it gets overlooked that in CoS she knew what was happening and chose not to tell. She might well have been marked by that experience in ways canon doesn’t show us, especially considering the personality change. There’s a lot of room for using canon in very interesting ways.
Plus: Bellatrix was panting, and Harry was reminded inexplicably of Ginny and her blazing look. Thank you, DH, for giving us that quote.
10. When did you stop liking #7?
About six months after I found fandom – I like James/Sirius so much better that it’s the sole example of one ship cancelling out another for me.
11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the show/book?
Since Regulus was dead when the series began and it’s gay incest anyway... no.
12. What's a song that reminds you of #5?
Meet Your Master? /flippant There isn’t one, which is very unusual.
13. Which of these ships do you love the most?
Tough one! But it’s gotta be H/D.
14. Which do you dislike the most?
Harry/Hermione. They have nothing in common, and so many of the Harmonians seem to have their knives out for Ron. I love Ron. I would have a WANCR (Writers and Arists for Nicer Characterisation of Ron) icon, but when I write him I tend to highlight his worst qualities. Speaking of, your birthday fic IS comingkennahijja! 15. If you could have any of these two pairings double date, who would it be? (even better if they're from different shows/books)
LMAO. Harry/Draco and James/Sirius. James could make Draco feel really uncomfortable and ask pointed questions about his intentions, and Harry could make filthy jokes to Sirius about bottoming Blacks, and Sirius could perv on everybody in a jokey way, and Harry would get all horrified and protective and James could tell Sirius off with this totally unsubtle “I will spank you if you do it again, you’re mine” subtext.
16. Have #2 kissed yet?
No. Although there are a lot of moments in season five where they looked SO close.
17. Did #4 have a happy ending? If the series hasn't ended yet, do you think a happy ending is likely?
Not likely, but possible – especially since in the comics Buffy’s had a relationship with another Slayer. She and Faith could make it work, I think: Faith would call her on her bullshit, Buffy would understand Faith’s past, and they could be the pre-Calling Chosen couple.
18. What would make you start shipping #14?
A specific bunny. I do think you could easily make them work. Plus, Bellatrix-seduces-Ginny-to-the-dark-side would be hot. Maybe there could be non-con threesomes afterwards. Bellatrix/Luna/Ginny, anyone?
19. If only one could happen, which would you prefer - #2 or #6?
#2, probably. #6 is already canon, for one thing (although arguably #2 is as well) and will be more interesting if Jack, John and Ianto are always circling each other than if Jack and John get back together. Even if that would also be awesome.
20. You have the power to decide the fate of #10. What happens to them?
Harry gets with Draco, obviously. :P Hermione ends up with someone who will criticise her callousness and not let her feel she’s in charge all the time – and also someone who won’t rely on her and have mummy issues and act like she’s valued for her skills, not her personality. I don’t know who that would be; maybe Blaise? He’s very used to female callousness and misuse of power, but I don’t know if that’s a good thing.

Send him off alone
Send him to Snape's
Send him to Lupin's
Obviously they were friends, but imho that particular decision was the only way Dumbledore could avoid either sending Sirius off alone or going to Spinner's End in a week to find its smoking remains.
