Merlin 304: Gwaine

Oh Arthur. It’s cute when you try to pretend you’re a normal boy, or that you want to be, but it cannot end well.
BAR WENCH: You’re a handsome fella.
ARTHUR: Baby I know.
BAR WENCH: I meant your friend.
ARTHUR: OI! Hands off! And anyway I’m the pretty one!
I already know which one is Gwaine! He’s the one in the corner of a shot with the shiny hair. I’ve heard a lot about the hair.
*facepalm* I can feel an Arthur, White Knight moment coming on...
LOL, I’m enjoying Gwaine tossing his hair back and forth and the boys fighting. Even if Arthur has been struck down by a case of Less Cool Than The Secondary Character and lost half his ninja skillz, Merlin clearly thinks Arthur’s awesome :)
ARTHUR: I’m Prince Arthur. I’m on a horse.
GWAINE: *wakes shirtless in Merlin’s bed* Why am I here?
FANS: We have an explanation.
MERLIN: You helped us. Why?
GWAINE: *stretches languidly and shakes his magnificent mane* Liked the look of yourarses odds.
Merlin saying how silly at this knight stuff is gives me seriously Heath Ledger/Love Interest flashbacks from The Knight’s Tale.
SERIOUSLY, ARTHUR, THROWING METAL STUFF AT YOUR SERVANT’S HEAD = NOT COOL.
Gwaine looking shirtlessly out over Camelot, muscles aripple, makes the ‘nice view’ joke seem too easy...
Oh I’m so glad he gave up with Guinevere. Gwaine was being pretty creepy and I’d hate to have this burgeoning crush spoilt by harassment of my girl.
Bruisers looking much better, shame about the discount goth jewellery...
Gwaine: pretty charming (although his charisma isn’t working on me yet), terribly good looking, daddy issues, possibly-illegitimate noble’s son who likes the rough life. I see the appeal.

And now Gwaine’s all in chains and struggling! ♥ I love him for coming to rescue Merlin. And aww Arthur standing up against the suddenly-very-prominent class stuff from Uther! Much love for the boys and Gwen :)
AWW ESPECIALLY AFTER THAT GWAINE/GWEN SCENE. Also, yay for Gwen in pink and white! Pink’s so nice on her and it makes a change from lavender-and-yellow.

:DD Gwaine strikes me a bit of a Gary-Stu so far, tbh, but I am probably just bitter that his Bestest Ever At Swordfighting puts my boy in the shade. Either way, Gwaine being teh awesome and Arthur being teh honourable and both of them all smiley and sweaty is a climax I can get behind. (Aw yeah.)
OMG THAT ENDING! I REQUIRE OT4 FIC. Merlin saying PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME! YOU AND ARTHUR ARE CLEARLY PHYSICALLY COMPATIBLE! and Gwaine being all MAYBE ONE DAY and Gwen and Gwaine laughing together and Arthur being all adorably jealous because he wants Gwen AND Gwaine’s attention and Merlin and Arthur being adorable!!
A NEW OT4 HAS BEEN BORN, MY CHILDREN, AND IT IS GLORIOUS.
