I've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'
May. 16th, 2008 07:14 pmOK, well, I haven't lost it yet but I'm getting damn near.
I'm trying very hard to be an awesome reader at the fests: read everything, and leave detailed comments for all of it, even for the end ones that so often get ignored. Currently I'm focusing entirely on the World Cup since the voting finishes tomorrow.
I love all the current fests for their particular charms, and I do think the very best of the one-shots are usually fest fics. But I'm still having what I reckon should be called that Fest Feeling: a combination of "wow look at all the amazing fic/art isn't it great!!!" and "oh dear God I am NEVER going to finish it all in time!"
It doesn't help that the voting finishes tomorrow for the World Cup. I hadn't realised. I want to give all the entries a chance, and vote on all of them; it's only fair. Still: the stuff amazing and so are the mods. Since I'm not reccing - I think enough lovely people are doing that - I don't want this entry to focus too much on the 'fear' side of my love-fear relationship with current fest season!
