Before she came to Sunnydale, Tara’s life was governed by fear. Of her father; of death, especially after losing her mother; of the rotting place inside her that was the demon part. Of the way people would look at her, if they knew about the things she could do.

It seemed silly to come to a Hellmouth to find safety. But she did. Or rather, she found love, and friendship, and the knowledge that her magic was pure. She blossomed under the California sun, and under Willow. With Willow, Tara never felt anything but safe.

For a year or so.

Yeah, but seeing as Willow is my favorite character, I wanted them to have time to work things out. And then they kinda did and Joss was like TIME TO DIE, BITCH
