Holy *heck*! This pushed my buttons in more ways than I could list! Actually, I was dead hooked at the summary alone, but the fic - it's gorgeous!
I *love* your Ron! I mean I love Ron in general, and while he's one of the good guys, he *does* have a ruthless and vengeful streak, and I could see him do this and justify it to himself. And boy, is he ever good at it!
I felt miserably sorry for Draco here, who's trying so hard for acceptance that he's getting himself into this bind (pun not intended), and your descriptions of him are wonderful. I loved
There was an odd vulnerability in seeing Malfoy’s bare feet.
It's such a tiny detail, but so telling.
And Ron truly goes about it like a chess player (adored you picking up that theme!) - searching for openings/weaknesses, and then exploiting them. Poor Draco never stands a chance. And I loved even more how he has those tiny flickers of guilt, and shoves them away, like comparing himself to the Death Eaters. And that even *while* he's good at it, he's also insecure and slips from time to time. That makes him human and in character like whoa!
And it was hot as hell! Ron discovering power over another, and Draco being so effing *beautiful* in his suffering, so vulnerable, and so broken at the end. The combination of punishment and hatesex and power play gave me all sorts of shivers, but what really made the story outstanding was the way you made their *characters* shine through all this. To good for words! I'll have to search for your other stories now - badly :).
