And yes, I'm not surprised - I heard once he meant to write a book featuring the Norse gods meeting humans and then remembered Eight Days of Luke :) One of the great things about her contribution to the world, I think, was how much her books seem to have influenced the current generation of fantasy authors and academics.

I know what you mean :( But yes, her stories will absolutely live on.
